The Juveniles Protection Section (JPS) under the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) and the Hong Kong Employment Development Service jointly offered teenagers a course, "Beginners on Coffee and Latte Art", under "Project Osmond" on January 9.
The course provided basic knowledge of Barista skills as part of the effort to introduce pastimes to help teenagers boost their physical and mental health. The class started with introduction of coffee beans, coffee preparation and Latte Art skills. Being able to master the basic Barista techniques in creating delicate Latte Art foam patterns, the trainees showed growing confidence and a great interest in the job of Barista.
The RCPO KE organises training courses regularly in conjunction with the Hong Kong Employment Development Service to offer a variety of vocational training to teenagers.
