Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) convened the 3rd Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) Liaison Meeting on January 27 for NEC community leaders in Kowloon East Region, representatives of government departments, including Home Affairs, Social Welfare, Education Bureau and Leisure and Cultural Services, and schools to discuss matters of common concern.

KTDIST Commander Barry Smith chaired the meeting, during which crime and related reports, findings of surveys on NEC and youths and initiatives and activities to engage NEC were reported. The hosts and guests also exchanged views and discussed ideas.

The NEC leaders expressed gratitude and appreciation to Kowloon East Region, in particular KTDIST, for promoting the interests of the NEC community and racial harmony.
