The National Police Commissioner of Finland, Mr Seppo Kolehmainen, paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on February 23 and discussed a wide range of global crime issues. Both Commissioners took the opportunity to engage in an in-depth discussion on resolving international and technology crimes.
After the courtesy call, Mr Kolehmainen and his three-member delegation toured the Liaison Bureau and the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau and exchanged cyber security strategies, in addition to identifying tactics to combat technology crimes. The delegation also came to understand better the Force's co-operation with other law enforcement agencies.
The delegation hoped it would draw on the globally adopted best practices and share experience with the Force in combating international and technology crimes to further the safety and stability of both Hong Kong and Finland. Therefore, the visit to the Force represented a big step forward to enhance the ties between both parties.
