The Force and the Government Laboratory renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 16 when Acting Director of Crime and Security Chung Siu-yeung and Assistant Government Chemist (Forensic Science Division), Dr Kwok Fu-chiu, signed the renewed MOU at the 24th Police/Government Laboratory Liaison Committee Meeting.

The Force has maintained a close partnership with Government Laboratory over the years and the first MOU between the two departments was signed in 2000. The renewed MOU underscores the importance of strengthening co-operation in fighting crime and co-ordination of efforts to boost work efficiency.
