Kowloon West (KW) Region held a 2015 year-end briefing on March 22 for the community leaders in Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po and Kowloon City, including the District Officers, chairmen and vice-chairmen of District Councils and District Fight Crime Committees as well as the presidents and members of the Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee.

Following an opening speech by Regional Commander Yu Tat-chung, KW Senior Superintendent (Crime) Man Tat-shing reviewed the overall crime situation in KW in 2015 and provided a preview of the Region's Operational Priorities 2016. KW Deputy Regional Commander Wong Kin-wah then elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of the police in public events. Adopting a proactive approach, the Region would continue to maintain close liaison with the organisers and stakeholders of public events.

The briefing strengthened communication with the community. Officers reiterated in the briefing that the stability of the Region was a joint effort by the police and all stakeholders in the Region.
