In a bid to make the locals more vigilant to burglars' modus operandi and enhance tenants' sense of building security, Wanchai Division (WCHDIV) rolled out a publicity scheme "PEN Out The Intelligence" in March to disseminate electronic anti-burglary messages to more than 1 000 commercial tenants through over 80 property management companies.
The bilingual e-messages on the prevalent burglary modus operandi in commercial buildings and security advices were designed by WCHDIV Patrol Sub-unit officers with assistance from Hong Kong Island Regional Crime Prevention Office.
A representative from a property management company welcomed the new scheme and hoped the Force would continue to alert their tenants of the latest crime trend and the necessary precaution measures.
