Over 300 young people visited training facilities at the Police College and took part in role-play exercises to get a personal experience of police work at a seminar held by the Recruitment Division on May 21.

The participants came from uniformed groups, including the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps, Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, Scout Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong St John Ambulance Brigade Youth Command, Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps, Auxiliary Medical Service Cadet Corps, Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, Junior Police Call and Non-ethnic Chinese youth groups.

The seminar kicked off with a welcoming speech by Chief Superintendent of the Human Resources Branch Siu Chak-yee. After an introduction of the scope of police work and the selection process, some Recruit Police Constables shared their training experience and the participants were guided to tour the training facilities.

During the newly-arranged role-play exercises, the participants performed the role of officers under different scenarios to experience police work and the challenges that officers encountered.
