To enhance youngsters' understanding of police work under Project Youth CAN, Hong Kong Island (HKI) Region arranged a group of students and Non-ethnic Chinese to observe how officers performed crowd management duties during Tam Kung Festival on May 14.

In view of over 20 000 performers and spectators taking part in the festival on that day, Inspector Lo Hoi-shan of Chai Wan Division briefed the students on the strategies used in the crowd management operation. The students applauded the briefing and the site visit for giving them insights of the planning and execution of crowd control at public events.
