Airport District (APTDIST) won the "Cross-Company Excellence Award - Certificate of Appreciation" and "Corporate Excellence Award - Certificate of Appreciation" at the 2016 Customer Service Excellence Programme Award Presentation Ceremony organised by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) on June 2.

Project Pre-EMPT, which has been carried out by APTDIST to promote the concept of "Security is Everybody's Business" and instill the awareness of crime prevention within the airport community, was presented with the "Cross-Company Excellence Award - Certificate of Appreciation".

With the relentless efforts made by APTDIST and the enormous support of all stakeholders, including AA and retail shops, the project has set up an airport security network and a Task Force Hotline, offered a series of security workshops and implemented engagement initiatives for the airport community. The hotline has helped in detecting a number of crimes and arresting some criminals.

On the other hand, the Operations Wing and the District Intelligence and Support Section of APTDIST were presented with a total of 27 Certificates of Appreciation in the category of the "Corporate Excellence Award" in recognition of their delicate services provided to the public, tourists and airport staff while tackling "illegal transport activities", "baggage thefts" and "overhead compartment thefts".
