A Certificate Presentation Ceremony of the 12th "Project Marching-on" was organised by Police Community Relations Office of Sau Mau Ping District (SMPDIST) earlier with the support of the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (HKYWCA) Jockey Club Lok Wah Integrated Social Service Centre.
A total of 150 junior students from four secondary schools accomplished the training programme on foot drills and multiple intelligence activities, which helped them to identify their strengths and beef up their problem-solving abilities. Officiating at the presentation ceremony included Deputy District Commander of SMPDIST Steven Tait, Chairman of SMPDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary President Council Mr Chow Yiu-ming, former Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Cheung Tak-keung, SMPDIST Auxiliary Police volunteers, representatives of HKYWCA and principals of the four secondary schools concerned.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Tait stressed that the successful implementation of the project hinged on the assistance of the District's JPC Honorary President Council, social workers of HKYWCA, Auxiliary Police volunteers as well as principals and teachers. Above all, the participation of the students and their parents' support were vital.
