The Police Civilian Staff Club (PCSC) held its 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum Annual Dinner on June 24. Among the 220 participants were Director of Finance, Administration and Planning Joyce Tam, Police Civil Secretary Leung Ho-yin, Financial Controller Tau Chung-hong, Convenor of Hong Kong Police Volunteer Services Corps Chan Joon-sun, Chief Executive Officer (Personnel and General Division) Fong Tin-chuen, and representatives from the Association of Police Translators, Hong Kong Traffic Wardens Union and HKSAR Government Traffic Wardens General Union.
Established in 1968, PCSC has been actively encouraging civilian officers to take part in volunteer services. Its 374-member-strong Volunteer Team performed more than 10 000 hours of volunteer services last year. Fifty of them were awarded Volunteer Service Certificates by the Social Welfare Department. Ms Tam, Mr Leung and Mr Chan presented prizes and certificates to the team members at the Annual Dinner.
With the support of members, the 2016-2017 General Committee of the PCSC was elected at the AGM. Besides the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, the committee comprised 23 members. As at March 31, PCSC has a membership of over 6 400.
