Chief Inspector Lam Hing-cheung led an eight-member delegation to attend an exchange programme in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, from July 5 to 13 with an aim to exchanging views on policing strategies.

Representatives of the Anhui Provincial Public Security Department (PSD) and Chuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau briefed the delegation on the politics, the legal system and the socio-economic development of the province. Then the delegates discussed with the local officers on intelligence-led policing, handling of major incidents and public events, promoting community participation and implementing counter-terrorism policies. The delegates also visited their command centre, a police room and other community security facilities to better understand their policing work.

The delegates expressed gratitude to the Anhui PSD for the in-depth exchanges about policing strategies. In response the PSD hoped to strengthen collaboration with the Force.
