To enhance officers' capability to probe financial crimes and confiscate the related proceeds, Crime New Territories North (Crime NTN) Region held a financial investigation workshop on June 21, with an attendance of over 80 crime officers and special duty squad members from Crime NTN and various districts in the Region.
After Superintendent (Crime NTN) Li Kwai-wah officiated at the opening ceremony, Chief Inspector (CIP) Hung Ngan from the Narcotics Bureau gave a detailed explanation of the relevant legislation on money laundering. He also cited a few recent court cases and shared the skills of investigating money laundering activities. The officers actively participated in the follow-up discussions.
