The National Manager for Operations and Investigations of the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), Mr Richard Grant, paid a courtesy call on Assistant Commissioner (ACP) (Crime) Chung Siu-yeung on July 13.
They discussed about the proposed exchange programme between the two police authorities and other ways to strengthen co-operation. Mr Grant also held a separate meeting with officers of the Narcotics Bureau.
The ACIC is a centralised authority of the Australian Government to combat cross-jurisdictional crime, and fight against money laundering and drug trafficking. It also supports the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Border Force in criminal investigation.
