Marine Outer Waters District (MOWDIST) Commander Bradley Wright, together with Operations Support Sub-unit Commander of Marine West Division (MWDIV) Leung Yuen-ching, led MOWDIST officers to visit the WWF-Hong Kong Mai Po Nature Reserve under the Sea Defender Project on July 13.

As Mai Po Nature Reserve is located within the waters of MWDIV, a staff member of WWF-Hong Kong told the officers the location of visitors' hot spots to facilitate their patrol work. The staff also introduced their daily work at the nature reserve to enhance officers' knowledge of protecting the marine environment.

The visit had not only raised officers' understanding of the area under their purview, but also enhanced mutual trust with the environmental organisation.
