The Counterfeit, Forgery and Support Division of the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) met with representatives from the baking sector on July 21 to discuss ways to prevent counterfeit moon cake redemption coupons.

At the meeting presided by Acting Senior Superintendent Wong Kwok-kit, CCB officers gave advice on how to further improve the security features of the coupons as well as the inspection procedures.

Mr Wong said, "The meeting has facilitated the sharing of crime information and intelligence exchange regarding the prevention of the use of forged moon cake redemption coupons and counterfeit credit cards. The fact that there were no reports of fake moon cake redemption coupons in the past two years is a proof of the achievement of the Force and the industry."
