Some mentees of Project Growth were delighted to take part in the second round of activities, which covered watching a passing-out parade and visiting the Airport Security Unit (ASU) in July to better understand police work.

The mentees attended the passing-out parade at the Police College on July 9. Then they joined a sharing session at which mentors from the Recruitment Division and Kwai Tsing District talked about their training experience and duties of a patrol squad.

During a visit to ASU on July 14, Chief Inspector (CIP) Lau Kwun-tang explained to the mentees the unit's development, training and duty charters, followed by a display of equipment and a demonstration of the "Job Specific Operation Fitness Test". Officers of the Airport District also updated the mentees about the crime trend and promoted anti-crime messages.

The mentees said the programme has enhanced their knowledge about frontline police duties and aroused their interest in joining the Force upon their graduation.
