The final round of a sports event "Don't Drop the Ball", a rugby training and crime prevention project organised by New Territories South (NTS) Regional Crime Prevention Office and Hong Kong Rugby Football Union for young people, took place at King's Park Playground on July 7. A total of 40 teams from primary and secondary schools competed in the matches.

The winners received prizes from Kowloon East Regional Commander Duncan McCosh, Tai Po District Commander Patrick Laidler, Honorary President of Tsuen Wan District Junior Police Call, Chairman of the University of Hong Kong Physical Education and Sports Science Alumni Association, Vice-chairman of the Kwai Tsing District Association of Heads of Schools, and a representative of a local bank.

Running for the eighth year, the project aims to boost the self-confidence, discipline and team spirit of young people through rugby matches and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay clear of drugs and crimes.
