The Operations Wing of Hong Kong Island (HKI) Region appointed 25 officers as Information Technology (IT) Wardens on July 22, with its Senior Superintendent Tse Kwok-wai presenting appointment certificates to the Wardens. He stressed the important role played by the Wardens in promoting information security to other members of the Force.

Meanwhile, the Information Systems Wing offered IT training for the Wardens on August 15 so that they would be able to assist IT Security Officers in inspecting computer terminals to ensure the protection of information and personal data in computer systems.
