Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) Commander Barry Smith attended a rooftop gardening harvest at Kwun Tong Police Station on August 4 to encourage both regular and civilian officers to take part in gardening activities during leisure time. The participants are encouraged to reuse coffee grounds and food waste from the police canteen as fertilisers, thereby promoting environmental conservation. They can also bring home their harvests, including chilli, lettuce, spring onion and asparagus. The activity not only strengthens internal communication, but also promotes a healthy lifestyle among colleagues.
