Frontline officers of Tai Po District (TPDIST) in collaboration with officers from TPDIST Police Community Relations Office and the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North conducted crime prevention seminars at Tai Hang Village and Fanling Wai on August 1 and 8 respectively under Project VILLAGE WATCH.

TPDIST Police Community Relations Officer Wong Ka-keung encouraged the villagers to install closed-circuit televisions to step up security.

A total of seven anti-crime seminars had been held under the project in the past four months, covering 21 villages and four housing estates.
