Twenty-three winners of the "Hang Seng Bank - Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2016" took part in an exchange programme in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from August 22 to 29 in the capacity of Fight Crime Ambassadors.

Received by the Dutch Police, the delegation visited various police units, such as the local Police Headquarters, Mounted Police Training School, National Intelligence Department and Police Academy. In addition to exchanging fight crime experience with local university students, they toured the International Court of Justice and the headquarters of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau in The Hague, the Netherlands.

This was the first time that the Fight Crime Ambassadors followed the Dutch Police in small groups to see how they performed their duties, which included the enforcement of traffic laws, evidence gathering in a burglary scene as well as dispute mediation. Besides, the youngsters were led to the Red Light District in Amsterdam to get to know the policing of the area. Furthermore, several ambassadors were given the opportunity to witness the seizure of illegally grown cannabis at local premises.

The trip not only enabled the Fight Crime Ambassadors to gain knowledge about the Dutch Police's efforts in fighting crime, but also gave them an opportunity to show their leadership qualities and promote the Force's fight crime strategies and achievement.
