The Juvenile Protection Section of Hong Kong Island Region (JPS HKI) arranged a group of juveniles under its guidance or that of the Youth Outreach to join the Correctional Services Department's (CSD) Rehabilitation Pioneer Project, and visit the Cape Collinson Correctional Institution at Chai Wan on August 19.

During a tour of the institution, the JPS supervisees learned about its facilities and the lives of the young offenders. After talking with an inmate, the supervisees came to realise the consequences of committing crime.

The CSD also gave a talk on the objectives of its Rehabilitation Pioneer Project and other aspects of correctional services.
