The Police College held an Information Day at its Aberdeen campus on September 17 to increase potential recruits' understanding of the requirements of police foundation training. Police inspector and police constable applicants who have reached the final selection stage were invited to take part in the event.

Physical Training Instructors introduced to the 232 applicants about the Motor Fitness Test while Firearms Instructors outlined the scope of revolver training and demonstrated how to build up trigger-finger strength. Drill and Musketry Instructors also briefed the applicants regarding the Force's expectations on trainees' conduct and discipline.

Chief Superintendent of the Human Resources Branch Siu Chak-yee said the Information Day provided practical information to the potential recruits. Superintendent of the Recruit Training Division Tsang Chiu-tong encouraged them to pay extra effort in building up themselves for the upcoming training programmes.
