With an aim to promoting racial harmony and delivering fight crime messages to Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC), some mentees of Project Himalaya of Yuen Long District (YLDIST) arranged a fight crime talk for NEC at Tin Yan Mosque in Tin Shui Wai on September 3. The mentees also took the occasion to promote the project and Junior Police Call (JPC) activities to the participants.

On the other hand, Police Community Relations Officer of YLDIST Wong Lai-ying invited members of Khalsa Diwan Hong Kong (Sikh Temple) to visit Yuen Long Police Station on August 15. In addition to discussing the living conditions of Indians in YLDIST, Ms Wong introduced to them the Senior Police Call and JPC programmes as well as Project Himalaya.

Two days later, the director of a Pakistan group, Women's International Guild, Mrs Shazia Ali visited Yuen Long Police Station and the Chinese language class of Project Himalaya. She appreciated YLDIST's efforts in engaging NEC youths, and would encourage more NEC youngsters to join the project.
