Acting Chief of Staff of the China Coast Guard Mr Zhang Chunru paid a courtesy call to Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on November 28.

Mr Lo and Mr Zhang discussed a wide range of maritime policing issues, such as ways to crack down on smuggling and illegal immigration, as well as intelligence sharing between law enforcement agencies of the two places in support of criminal investigations and operations. Both sides agreed to enhance co-operation in safeguarding maritime security and to step up collaboration in training and experience sharing.
