Dedicated to promoting Knowledge Management (KM), the Force has captured the Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award 2016 in the Independent Operating Unit (IOU) category, in addition to the Top Winner of the Hong Kong MAKE Award 2016, the Best in Knowledge Culture Award and the Asian MAKE Award 2016.
The Global (IOU) MAKE Award, which marks the highest level of accolades in the field of KM, gives recognition to independent companies, government departments and public agencies all over the world for creating stakeholder wealth by transforming new and existing corporate knowledge into superior services/products/solutions.
After many rounds of assessment by an independent panel of Fortune Global 500 senior executives and leading KM experts, the Force was chosen as one of the 11 winners of the Global (IOU) MAKE Award, alongside reputable organisations such as the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Samsung SDS of the Samsung Group and Singapore Armed Forces. The Force was the only police authority in the world, and the only organisation in China, attaining this prestigious KM award this year.
The conferral of the award not only recognised the Force as an admirable law enforcement agency in driving and implementing KM, but also confirmed its role as a knowledge-powered learning organisation committed to serving Hong Kong in a global context.
This was the second time that the Force has won the Global (IOU) MAKE Award, following the honour as the first organisation in Hong Kong clinching the award in 2013.
