A group of 30 woman officers from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao gathered in Hong Kong to attend the 16th Tripartite Woman Police Officers' Meeting from November 23 to 25. The meeting, which was hosted by the Force this year, was built on the theme of "Capacity Building and Management of the New Generation Police Officers".
The Hong Kong delegation was led by Director of Personnel and Training of the Force Chiu Wai-yin whilst the Guangdong and Macao delegations were headed respectively by Deputy Division Chief cum Researcher of the Personnel Division of the Political Office of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department Ms Wu Yun and Deputy Director of Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau of Macao Ms Kok Fong-mei.
The delegates from the three jurisdictions discussed the characteristics of the new generation, and exchanged views on how the disciplinary forces should respond to the needs of young officers in recruitment, management and training to cope with the development of the respective police authority. They also visited the Tactics Training Complex in the Police College, the new Yau Ma Tei Police Station and the Marine North Division.
The delegates cherished the sharing opportunity held annually since 2001. The next round of the meeting will be held in Guangdong in 2017.
