Over 160 officers gathered at the Senior Officers' Mess of the Police Headquarters for the traditional pre-Christmas get-together on December 16.

Speaking before lunch, the President of the Mess Committee, Mr Cheuk Hau-yip, sent season's greetings and wished Mess members an auspicious start to 2017. He paid a special tribute to the Life Mess Members attending the event, some of whom had travelled from overseas to show their support.

Commissioner Lo Wai-chung also thanked all the officers for their dedication to duty and assistance last year. In a time-honoured tradition, he served Christmas turkey to the officers, with the assistance of the two Deputy Commissioners.
