The Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) co-hosted the "Cybercrime Investigation Training for Eurasian Region" with INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation at the Police Headquarters from November 28 to December 2.

As INTERPOL and the Force hold the view that capacity building is one of the key strategies in tackling cybercrime, experts from INTERPOL and trainers from CSTCB and the Korea National Police Agency jointly conducted the training programme for cybercrime investigators from Europe and Asia Pacific.

Twelve participants from Singapore, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka, Latvia, the United Kingdom and Spain joined with nine officers from CSTCB and the Technology Crime Initial Response Cadre in the programme. The 21 trainees further developed their skills and knowledge in online intelligence gathering, log analysis, deep web investigation, the use of specialised analysis tools and international co-operation.

They also made use of the occasion to share their experiences in combatting cybercrime.
