A number of police districts visited the needy in December to spread Christmas joy.


On December 16, Yuen Long District Commander Au Chin-chau and Deputy District Commander Mak Wai-man led Senior Police Call (SPC) members and Project Himalaya mentees to distribute Christmas gifts to people in need. They went to Yuen Long Hong Chi Morningjoy School to send festive blessings to the students and their parents. Then they visited Yuen Long Home for the Aged Blind, where SPC members delivered crime prevention message to the visually impaired elderly persons and warmed their heart by saxophone performance.


Meanwhile, Tai Po District Acting Commander Lau Fung-ha, together with officers of the district, District Social Welfare Officer (Tai Po/North) Mr Yam Mun-ho, Hospital Chief Executive of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and Tai Po Hospital Dr Man Chi-yin and students of the Education University of Hong Kong, visited the paediatric wards of the Nethersole Hospital on December 20 to send Christmas greetings to some 80 children.


On the other hand, Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) Commander Kwok Ho-yee led a group of officers to send season's greetings to some patients in the paediatric wards of Yan Chai Hospital and their family members on December 21. A police officer dressed as a Santa Claus to give out Christmas gifts while police volunteers performed balloon twisting to spread festive joy in the wards.
