More than 150 players from 14 Major Formations took part in the Inter-Major Formation Badminton Competition, jointly organised by the Police Badminton Club and the Sports Unit at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 8. After intense matches, Kowloon West (KW) Region clinched the championship.

The Guest of Honour, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chau Kwok-leung, presented trophies and medals to the winning teams. The Crime Wing captured the title of the first runner-up while the second to fifth runners-up went to New Territories North Region, Kowloon East Region, Marine Region and New Territories South Region respectively. The Hong Kong Island Region and the Personnel Wing took the Merit Awards.
