Sergeant (SGT) Wong Shuen was grateful to the Police Athletics Club (PAC) for offering sports training to her 11-year-old son, Cheuk-hei, in its first track and field training course for children of regular, auxiliary and civilian staff last summer. In addition to arranging coaches to teach the children the skills of track and field exercises, they told them the importance of doing exercises to build a good physique and how to face the tough drill.
Cheuk-hei sent a letter to the PAC after the course to share his feelings. He wrote, "I like running but I had not received any formal training before the course. I felt very excited when my mother made registration for me to attend the PAC's track and field training course during my summer vacation."
SGT Wong was pleased to learn that Cheuk-hei made progress with his running posture improved and his endurance enhanced. Cheuk-hei also made many new friends in the course. He hoped that the PAC would continue holding similar courses so that more youngsters could enjoy running together.
