To promote road safety with the approach of the Year of the Rooster, Traffic Kowloon West (T KW) held the "Kowloon West Road Safety Fai Chun Calligraphy Competition" in partnership with Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Kowloon West Region) on January 20.

Speaking at the event, Chief Inspector of T KW Mak Siu-kwok reminded the elders to stay focused while crossing the road. Senior Police Call members of KW districts also joined the event to promote social harmony. After the elderly participants finished writing Fai Chuns, all the guests of honour and the participants distributed Fai Chuns and souvenirs to members of the public in the district to raise their awareness of road safety.

The other guests of honour were Kowloon West Regional Commander of Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol Mr Gavin Lam, Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong Road Safety Campaign Organising Committee Mr Hau Wing-cheong, Vice-chairperson of Kowloon City Road Safety Campaign Committee Ms Lam Suet-mui and Vice-chairperson of Sham Shui Po Road Safety Campaign Committee Mr Lo Ying-ming.
