Consul-General of Sweden in Hong Kong Mrs Helena Storm led her deputy to pay a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on February 9. This was the first time for her to visit the Force since her assumption of the post.

They discussed the topics of maintaining public safety as well as the policing culture and technology in both places. Mrs Storm also thanked the Force for offering assistance in two cases involving Swedish nationals in Hong Kong in 2016. She applauded Mr Lo's leadership of the elite Force that keeps Hong Kong one of the safest and most stable societies in the world.

The visit has enabled the Swedish delegation to gain a better understanding of the Force and also laid a solid foundation for closer collaboration between Sweden and Hong Kong.
