Border District (BDIST) held a commendation ceremony at the TWGHs Ma Kam Chan Memorial Primary School on February 24, during which Chairman of the North District Fight Crime Committee (NDFCC) Mr Deng Kai-rong presented commendation certificates to three cross-boundary students for reporting crime.
When the three Primary Six students were on the way home in a Lo Wu-bound train on February 9, they saw a woman picking up a stack of $1,000 banknotes in the train compartment. They suggested her to hand over the money to MTR staff. Upon arrival at Lo Wu Station, the students followed the woman and found that she only submitted one $1,000 banknote to the MTR staff. So they told the full story to the staff, who reported the case to the Force. Then officers arrested the woman for retaining the remaining banknotes, and she was eventually fined.
