A new initiative, Focus Group under "Detective Plus", has been launched with a view to enabling detective officers to apply what they have learned via their Knowledge Management (KM) journey in their daily work. With the support of the Detective Training Centre, the Focus Group conducted two rounds of discussion last December and in March.

The Force hoped that the Focus Group would provide a regular platform for detective officers to express their expectations and views on KM, optimise the development of KM programmes and build up KM culture among detective officers.

Over 90 Inspectors and Police Constables, who have participated in the Standard Criminal Investigation Course, attended the two rounds of discussion. Their pragmatic and constructive opinions would be taken into consideration for designing KM initiatives for detective officers. More Focus Group discussion will be held to collect officers' opinions to fine tune future training programmes.
