The NTS Criminal Investigation Department Night 2017 cum Best DIT Award Presentation Ceremony took place at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on April 21 with a view to supporting frontline crime investigators and recognising the contribution of the crime units. Over 380 crime officers from New Territories South Region (NTS) attended the event.

The winner of this year's Best DIT Award for NTS was District Investigation Team 3 (DIT 3) of Airport District. Acting NTS Regional Commander Patrick Laidler presented a certificate to them. Meanwhile, the best DIT from each of the other four Districts of NTS received a certificate by their respective District Commanders in recognition of their remarkable performance and dedication to duty. The four teams were DIT 4 of Kwai Tsing District, DIT 4 of Sha Tin District, DIT 6 of Tsuen Wan District and DIT 3 of Lantau District.
