Marine West Division (MWDIV) earlier invited the Fire Services Department (FSD), the Marine Department and the seafaring community to take part in a joint fire-fighting exercise in Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter to strengthen cross-sectoral co-operation in handling emergencies.

The exercise simulated a fishing boat catching fire and a person falling overboard. Upon receiving the case, Marine Police officers evacuated the boat and assisted FSD in rescuing the victim while FSD put out the fire. After the exercise, MWDIV Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) Chan Ching-yin thanked the stakeholders for supporting the Force in promoting sea safety.
