The presentation ceremony of New Territories North (NTN) Regional Best Security Guard Awards 2016 took place at Yuen Long Theatre on May 17 to commend outstanding security guards. Officiating at the ceremony was NTN Regional Commander Kwok Ho-fai.

The ceremony drew the participation of over 700 guests, including Chairman of the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority Mr Cham Ka-hung, Chairman of the Hong Kong Security Association Mr Gary Bukowicki, the chairmen and members of various District Fight Crime Committees in NTN, representatives from the security sector and the award-winning security guards.

Of the 5 000 security guards who competed for the awards, the adjudication panel selected 645 winners for the Gold, Silver, Bronze, Top Ten and Merit Awards.

The security sector responded positively to the award presentation. Apart from enhancing the service quality and professional image of security guards, the event had strengthened collaboration between the security sector and the Force in fighting crime and building a safe community.
