Hong Kong Island Region (HKI) kicked off on July 12 a series of Thank You Receptions in its Districts and Formations in appreciation of the professionalism and dedication displayed by frontline officers in the security operations mounted during President Xi Jinping's inspection of Hong Kong, and in policing the many celebratory activities in connection with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Inaugural Ceremony of the Fifth Term Government of HKSAR.
On behalf of the Force Senior Management, HKI Regional Commander Yu Tat-chung expressed gratitude to all HKI officers who played a role in these operations. He attributed the success of the operations to the Force's meticulous planning beforehand and officers' high levels of professionalism and dedication to duty throughout the execution phase.
Mr Yu exchanged the bits and pieces of the operations with the frontline officers and shared how they overcame the challenges and difficulties in connection with the long hours of work and the hot and humid weather. He also encouraged officers to keep up the good work and professionalism to meet future challenges.
