Senior Leaders Exit Debriefing
At the Senior Leaders Exit Debriefing Series on July 4, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chau Kwok-leung shared with over 80 participants his invaluable experience gained in his 39-year-long career from a Police Constable to Commanders at different levels.
Mr Chau focused on leadership development in the talk. While identifying different types of leadership, he elaborated on their implications and scopes of influence as well as the skills and personal qualities that a good leader should possess. Mr Chau also drew an analogy of a tea bag, which is best diffused in hot water, to describe good leadership, which is best tested in the most challenging environment. Finally, Mr Chau stressed that one of the most important tasks of a police leader is to nurture young talents for the Force.
The inspiring sharing was well received and all the participants enjoyed a fruitful afternoon.
