The Yau Tsim District Junior Police Call (YTDIST JPC) Honorary Presidents Council staged the "Drug-free Fun Life - Yau Tsim Fun Day" in partnership with Tsim Sha Tsui District Kaifong Welfare Association, Yau Tsim Mong District School Liaison Committee and the Creative Youth Club Limited on July 6.

Highlights of the event included a sharing session by Principal of Christian Zheng Sheng College Dr Chan Siu-cheuk with some 800 primary and secondary school students. Dr Chan spoke of his experience in communicating with youths, analysed the youth addiction problem and gave advice on how to steer clear of drugs. The students were excited to see a demonstration by patrol dogs and dangerous drug detection dogs. Moreover, the Police Magic Club promoted anti-crime messages through a magic performance.

Officiating at the event included Deputy District Commander of YTDIST Ho Yun-sing, President of YTDIST JPC Honorary Presidents Council Mr Yip Wah, Yau Tsim Mong District Officer Mrs Laura Aron, President of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Ms Chan Heung-lin, Chairperson of Yau Tsim Mong District School Liaison Committee Ms Cheung Yee-may and Chairman of the Creative Youth Club Limited Mr Chong Ngai-keung. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the principals of the participating schools and JPC Leader Corps members in recognition of their continuous support to the Force.
