On July 7, Senior Superintendent of the School of Foundation Training (SSP SFT) of the Police College Ho Kai-hin applauded three police trainees who assisted to arrest two culprits whilst off duty.

Probationary Inspectors Mok Mang-kiu and Lee Hiu-man received letters of appreciation issued by Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island and SSP SFT respectively for their excellent performance, whilst off duty, in assisting to arrest a man for taking photographs up a woman's skirt at Causeway Bay MTR Station on May 20.

Meanwhile, Recruit Police Constable Lau Kai-tung also received a letter of appreciation from Commander of Kwun Tong District for his outstanding performance in assisting to arrest another suspect for taking photographs under a woman's skirt near Kin Ming Estate, Tseung Kwan O whilst Mr Lau was off duty on May 27.

The instructors of the trainees said, "The good performance demonstrated by these trainees not only showed that they have applied what they have learned, but more importantly, they displayed a sense of commitment in their police duty in such an early stage of their career, for which we are very proud of."
