The Police College held the College Away Day 2017 for their management staff at Tai Mei Tuk Activity Training Centre on July 27 in a bid to reflect on the objectives of the Police College as well as to develop strategies and an activity plan. The College was very honoured to have the presence of retired Assistant Commissioner Mr Wong Doon-yee as a facilitator of the discussion.

The Police College organises the Away Day annually to foster teamwork and generate new ideas in a relaxed environment. The theme of this year was "To know better your team, to know better our challenges, to walkthrough as a team, and to commit as a team".

Under Mr Wong's guidance, all the participants actively took part in the team building exercises. They were split into teams with a good mix of representatives from different schools and centres to allow more interactions and stimulation of ideas.

At the end of the day, the College Management formulated an action plan to meet future development goals. More importantly, a day taken out from the normal routine has brought the College Management closer together to share the mission of the Police College in striving to be a leading centre of excellence in police training and development in the international arena.
