Representatives of 12 banks presented tapestry flags to Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) Commander Cho Ming-lung, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Suen Suet-ying, Chief Inspector (Crime) Chong Shing-yat and officers of District Intelligence Section, District Crime Squad (3) and the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) on July 27 in appreciation of their professionalism and outstanding performance in detecting a series of credit card theft cases and the related fraudulent transactions.

During the period from October 2016 to March 2017, SSPODIST received 32 cases in which victims' credit cards were stolen in public swimming pools and used in fraudulent transacitons, involving a total sum of $800,000. SSPODIST crime officers swiftly exchanged intelligence with the banking sector, and eventually arrested three core members of the syndicate.
