District Council (DC) Member Mr Mok Kin-shing; a representative of a seafood restaurant, Mr Law; and a representative of a food stall, Mr Chow presented respectively tapestry flags, commendation certificates and trophies to officers of Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) in recognition of their professionalism and efficiency in detecting a criminal damage case, a blackmail case and an assault case. Receiving the awards were Assistant District Commander (Crime) Kok Wai-shing, Chief Inspector (Crime)(3) Wong Sun-lok and officers of District Anti-triad Section (DATS).

Last October, a triad member damaged a food stall at Tsing Yi Container Terminal. DATS followed up the case for investigation and arrested a suspect swiftly. Later in May, some people with triad background blackmailed the representative of a seafood restaurant in Tsing Yi. DATS officers conducted an investigation and quickly arrested a few suspects. In the same month, a man was assaulted at an industrial building in Kwai Chung. After investigation, the DATS officers promptly arrested some suspects.
