Two members of the public, Ms Chiang and Ms Chan, presented flags to Commander of Mong Kok District (MKDIST) Kerry Carew, Deputy Commander Lee Chung-wah, Assistant Commander (Crime) Chung Chi-ming as well as District Investigation Team 2 (DIT 2) and Special Duty Squad 4 (SDS 4) on August 9 in recognition of their professionalism and effort in the swift detection of a burglary case and an illegal gambling case.

Ms Chiang's residence was burgled last December with her seven credit cards and bank letters stolen. Her cards had been misused and about $10,000 was withdrawn. DIT 2 took over the case and quickly arrested a woman who confessed to the charges.

Meanwhile, Ms Chan's flat was used for illegal activity earlier. SDS 4 mounted an operation in March and June and smashed an illegal gambling den.
