Deputy Regional Commander of Marine Tsui Wai-hung led a delegation of three officers from Marine Region to attend the Coast Guard Global Summit in Tokyo, Japan from September 12 to 15.

Chaired by Commandant of the Japan Coast Guard Satoshi Nakajima, the summit served as a platform to foster international collaboration in maritime safety, marine environment protection, maritime security and on-the-job training. Delegations from 40 countries and areas took part in the summit to exchange views in facing maritime law enforcement challenges and to promote co-operation.

The Force delegates found the summit very fruitful as it enhanced understanding with their counterparts and enabled sharing of good practices and experience.
