As part of a knowledge management (KM) initiative to help frontline units, the first of a series of Deputy District Commander (DDC) Forums was held on September 14.

A number of DDCs attended the forum to discuss matters about Patrol Sub-units. A summary of their discussion and the lessons learnt have been uploaded to the Lessons Learnt database of the KM Portal. The forum also facilitated the Service Quality Wing (SQ Wing) to plan a six-month study on the workload of Patrol Sub-units.

The next DDC Forum, which will be held in November, will focus on Report Rooms. Any officer who wishes to share experience on the Lessons Learnt platform is welcome to send an email to Senior Superintendent (Inspections Bureau) 2 of the SQ Wing at ssp-ib-2-sq@police.gov.hk.
